Calamity cow plunges 100ft off a cliff… and miraculously survives
A calamity cow plunged 100ft off a cliff and miraculously survived.
A miracle moo was unharmed following the fall.
A major rescue operation was needed to reach the hapless heifer at the bottom of the dangerous drop.
Firefighters winched up the bovine - called Chloe - and then a vet checked her over.
And despite the fall she was given the all-clear.
Farmer, Stephen Bosustow, from Trerise Farm on the Lizard Peninsula, near Falmouth, Cornwall, said it was a miracle Chloe was uninjured.
"She's part of our herd," he told NeedToKnow.
"There are cliffs where we farm but there's usually no problems.
"And then we were told we had a cow over the cliff.
"She must have fallen off, it's a steep cliff there.
"It's a miracle she was uninjured.
"We were hoping she'd find her way out but no such luck.
"So we called in all the people to pull her up.
"We had two spectacular vets who attended and heavily sedated Chloe to ensure human safety.
"She was rather spicy prior to sedation."
Chloe was sedated, put into the harness and winched slowly back up from where she fell.
Within a few minutes, the sedative wore off and Chloe was back on her feet none the worse for her ordeal.
