They skillfully stretch animal hide over wooden frames, securing it with bamboo pegs and leather straps to ensure perfect tension for deep, resonant beats. Their handmade drums, used in weddings, festivals, and cultural events, reflect a rich heritage of rhythm and craftsmanship. However, the rise of digital sound systems and electronic music at social events poses a significant threat to their livelihood. As demand declines, the family struggles to sustain the business, fearing that the ancient art form may soon become a relic of the past.
