Animals and visitors to The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden are gearing up for a "spooktacular" October due to its annual HallZOOween event.
This much-loved, family-friendly celebration kicks off this weekend and will run every Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. throughout October.
Children and adults alike can look forward to treat stations, a Hogwarts Express, and a Scare-ousel - though the main attraction is seeing the animals tuck into their pumpkin enrichment and take part in Halloween activities.
Statues of Fiona, the zoo's famous hippo are also adorned with Halloween costumes.
New for this year is a special daytime preview of the Jack O’Lantern Glow, featuring a trail of 5,500 pumpkins hand-carved by local artists.
