Halloween-mad influencer spends two weeks and $500 crafting own COFFIN to sleep in
A Halloween-mad influencer has crafted her own coffin ahead of the spooky season.
Catjira recently hit headlines after revealing how she ditched being a Playboy model to buy an abandoned farm and become a homesteader.
As part of her new self-sufficient lifestyle, the 31-year-old has taken to gardening and growing her own crops, as well as trying her hand at DIY.
More specifically, the content creator – who is an avid cosplayer – has crafted her very own wood coffin.
“I’ve always been passionate about Halloween and building props and sets for my more elaborate cosplay productions,” Catjira, who has 94,500 followers on Instagram (@catsgotback ), told NeedToKnow.
“Making this custom coffin is something I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.”
The coffin took two weeks to construct to the tune of $500 (USD) (£373)
Catjira from Florida, currently resides in Tennessee, US, and is well-known for her passion for all things horror, sci-fi fantasy and the paranormal.
Alongside memorabilia, the influencer also has an extensive collection of dead spiders and haunted objects.
She said: “It [the coffin] took about two weeks to make.
“The coffin was a crowdfunded project and contributors got their names carved into the lid.
“It’s since been stained and is finished.”
For the month of October, Catjira is putting together Halloween-themed performances, cosplaying as ‘sleeping Vampirella’ and Beetlejuice’s Lydia Deetz.
She’ll be using her homemade coffin to truly bring the essence of these characters to life – or back from the dead.
Starting her career in 2015, the influencer quickly became a high-profile industry figure.
She traded this in for a more rural way of life three years ago.
Now, she spends her time renovating, designing sets and crafting unique backdrops – all in the nam
