This lion cub was gives others stick for barking up the wrong tree.... Lion cubs are seen playing with a stick, trying to evade each other from capturing a stick as they play a game of chase. The trio were spotted trying to even use a tree to avoid capture at Londolozi Game Reserve, Sabi Sands in South Africa. Retired IT support supervisor Michael Moss, 73, said, "It is common to see lions here and often with their cubs. What is not common is that I got to spend over 2 hours with them, taking hundreds of shots and watching their behaviour. There were three young cubs along with two lionesses. The lionesses were either sisters, cousins or aunts. They are always related to each other and share responsibilities of taking care of the cubs." "I started watching late afternoon until sunset. I was in a safari vehicle sitting at a pan (small pond). The lioness brought the cubs there for water and then decided to stay. The cubs were full of energy and playing with each other much of that time. Amongst other cat games, they were fascinated by that piece of bark and when one cub had it, the others wanted it. It was not really fetch, it was more you have it, I want it. It could be a stick, lion dung or any thing else they could carry in their mouths." "Big cats' behavior is similar to that of our domestic cats. They seem to figure out what toys are. If one cub has something, it becomes a toy the others want."
