The perfect portrait of the striking bobcat baby, FAUNAPARK FLAKKEE, NETHERLANDS, A CHEEKY 10 week old bobcat kitten has been pictured blowing a raspberry at the photographer.
In a playful move the mischievous kitten can be seen sticking its tongue out at the camera. Other pictures reveal the cute but striking pair of bobcat kittens staring intensely at the photographer before retreating to hide behind their mum, but they can’t resist sneaking-a-peak back to give another look to the camera.
These tender moments were captured by photographer and Graphic Designer Pascal Maranus (37) from Aagtekerke, The Netherlands, who spoke about the adorable bobkittens with mediadrumworld.com.
Pascal captured the mischievous kittens at Faunapark Flakkee, Netherlands on his Sony A7R V + Sony 400mm f/2.8.
“Their curiosity always makes for great portraits, when they curiously look into a big lens for the first time,” said Pascal.
“Baby animals always bring a new dynamic to a family.
This creates different moments that won't happen when it's just two adults or just a solitary animal.
“The first one looked so much smaller than what I'm used to seeing of them.
“That the cub almost looked more like an Iberian lynx.
“They are my favourites, so I immediately fell in love. It's also why I decided to go and photograph, while they were still this small.
“This is not a typical sight at all. Faunapark is the only zoo in the Netherlands that has bobcats.
“So to see them is rare in and of itself.
“I immediately fell in love.
“Wildlife parenting is nothing different than a human parent, really. Raise your kids to be able to survive by and provide for themselves.”
