Pineapples on his ped! Farmers carry hundreds of pineapples on their bicycles
Farmers carry hundreds of pineapples...on their bicycles.
The fruits can be seen weighing down a long line of bikes on a rural road in Madhupur, Bangladesh.
The agricultural workers were forced to walk and stabilise the loads.
The fruit can sell for between 2,000 and 3,000 taka for a quantity of 100 - about £12.75 to £19.19.
To keep things cost effective, the farmers use the bikes, with each basket holding 50 pieces of fruit, with the bikes carrying 100 each.
They use them to transfer them to the market, whilst reducing the money they spend on transporting them.
