These images and videos show the aftermath of a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Lviv that killed at least seven civilians and wounded 47 in the early hours of 4 September 2024.
The fatalities in Lviv included two girls aged nine and 14, another child, a 50-year-old nurse at a local clinic, and a man, according to officials.
Several explosions were heard in the city amid a nationwide air raid alert in Ukraine after another missile and drone attack - bombardments that have increased in recent days. Casualties were reported also in Kryvyi Rih.
Explosions were also heard in other cities including Kyiv, Sumy, Lutsk, and Rivne.
A statement from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reads: “Lviv: the number of injured as a result of the morning attack on the city has increased to 47 people.
“As of now, emergency workers have rescued 12 people. Unfortunately, 7 died, including children.
“Psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Lviv region are working on the spot, and they have provided assistance to 82 victims, including 11 children.”
