Story from Jam Press (Seagull Steals Food) Pictured: Video grab of the seagull, nicknamed Sammy, inside Kerri’s house. ‘I woke up next to a SEAGULL in my bed – we’ve become fast friends and share fish and chips every Friday' A cheeky seagull has been caught on camera striding into a family's home and stealing their cats' biscuits. The bird, nicknamed Sammy, is a constant feature at Kerri Mullins' home in Thornton, Lancashire – often receiving treats and even crawling into bed with the mum at times. In a more recent development, the 38-year-old spotted the seagull bravely facing off against the family’s cats to nab itself a snack. The bird casually strolls into the home, entering through the garden door, and walks up to one of several food bowls on the floor. It is a bold stunt with four cats also seen on camera, watching the seagull’s every move. The bird appears undeterred and ready to take them on, as it starts pecking at their dinner. Thankfully, no cat fight ensues. The pets are actually rather used to Sammy. He first started knocking on Kerri's door to be let in when she moved into the home in December last year. The mum-of-two now regularly leaves the door open so that Sammy can come in and help himself to a snack. He expects breakfast, lunch and dinner from Kerri and she even feeds him doughnuts. On Fridays, they share a chippy tea."I spotted him on the roof when I first moved in then he started standing at the door,” Kerri told What’s the Jam. “One day he was making a mad noise outside. “I asked him what was up and if he was hungry then I started talking to him every day. "I know I sound crazy. "He walked in and went straight to the cat food and I said to my son 'that's alright, we've got another pet now'. "I leave my back door open so he can come in and out. “He doesn't care about the cats and I think the cats are used to all sorts because they're rescues. "I shout Sammy and he comes. I've woken up to him in b
