The Hunzas or Burushos, who live in the Hunza Valley of Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan, live in mountainous regions at an altitude of about 2.500 meters. The Hunzas, who had an emirate ruled by 'Hunza mirs' in the past, today have the status of Pakistan.
