An elephant tries to be smoking hot as it shows off for some nearby female elephants in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. The African elephant bull had enlarged temporal glands (on either side of the elephant’s head) making the animal easily irritable, mischievous and over-sensitive to sounds. History teacher, Jeff Sink, 73, from Southern California leads photo safaris to Kenya and Tanzania. He said, "This elephant was in musth and hence was very active showing for the nearby females. This is typical behaviour, they will throw dust over their backs to cool the skin and flush off insects. In this case, the elephant was strutting his stuff for the nearby lovely ladies. The photos show the power of the elephants." Please byline: Jeff Sink/Solent News © Jeff Sink/Solent News & Photo Agency UK +44 (0) 2380 458800 *** Local Caption *** 1.
