Is he still being annoying?
YORK ADORABLE images of cute Little owls perched on a broken window and creating perfect picture frames were captured by a photographer who waited weeks for their arrival in York on April 9th.
Images show how the cute family of native Little owls loved to dance for the camera on their window frame perch, which also made an excellent sentry post for them to spot insects or small rodent meals that might pass by.
The owl family initially struggled to eat as the owlets were failing in health, but after spotting the young family's plight, R&D specialist and hobby photographer Tom Broxup put out mealworms to supplement the family's diet.
These images were taken weeks after, showing the owls healthy and hearty.
Tom lives in York and loves taking rare wildlife snaps.
He got information about the struggling family and decided to help them out.
“It was brought to my attention that a little owl was found dead in a water tank on some land near my house in York,” he said.
“Upon investigating, we found that a single female was trying and failing to feed two hungry owlets, and one of them was in a very bad way.
“My friend and I decided to try to help by leaving out a handful of mealworms on a nearby gate post to the old sheep shed where the owls were located.
“After only a few hours, the female bird came in and started frantically feeding the smallest bird, who had been in a bad state on the floor.
“After a few days of supplementing the birds' food, the owlets grew stronger.
“Once the birds looked strong enough, we stopped supplementing food, sat back, and watched them comically wait for their mum.
“It took a week before the birds landed in the old broken window, but it was well worth it.”
