Onur is playing a game on his phone in the living room. Onur Kaba is a 22-year-old young man from Hatay, a city hit hardest by the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes that struck Kahramanmara? on February 6, 2023. Onur was caught in his home and was trapped under the rubble for 87 hours. After being rescued, Onur was first taken to a nearby hospital, where his legs were treated for 12 days with various treatments to prevent amputation. Eventually, he lost both of his legs and continues his life as an amputee. Onur, who still lives in Hatay, said, "I went through very difficult days, I think losing a limb is a difficult situation to understand for people who have not experienced such an event. In other words, those who have lived it know. I am trying to hold on to life because I have no other choice. I am currently using a mechanical prosthesis that I have difficulty even walking straight. It is difficult for me to maintain my life in this way, I need a bionic prosthesis, but I cannot get a bionic prosthesis because the Social Security Institution's (SGK) social security legislation considers bionic prosthesis 'within personal means' and the cost of a prosthesis is about 100,000 euros."
