Sacks of expired Gyplast Mortar plaster dumped at the dumpsite. Dandora slum lays one of the biggest and most well-known Dandora landfill. The 30-acre site with an estimated of 850 solid waste generating from all over Nairobi was founded in 1975. Every minute waste pickers at the site offload wastes from different trucks arriving at the site. The waste pickers who are also residents from different parts of the region depend on the landfill as a source of income through recycling of waste materials such as plastic waste, glass bottles, and mental products. But burning of wastes at the site leads to climate emission that affects most residents living in the area.
