ANGEL GREBE-RIEL! This little grebe appears to have the wings of an angel as it swims on Kemerton Lake in Tewkesbury. The angelic bird was snapped by field service engineer Jonathan Clarke. The 40 year old said, ÒI was sitting admiring the local wildlife on the lake when I noticed an otter swimming towards the pictured grebe, it expanded its wings to take flight and I was able to picture it just before it took off.Ó ÒI believe with the pose with the wings behind its back and especially with it being so close to Christmas, it reminded me of an angel. These shots were taken at Kemerton lake near Tewkesbury on Saturday the 25th of November. 2. The bird is a Little Grebe and they are quite common in the UK. 3. These images were taken in a burst shot as the bird moved across the lake and came to rest in front of me. 4. I believe with the pose with the wings behind its back and especially with it being so close to Christmas it reminded me of an angel. 5. I was sat in the hide watching an otter swim across the lake which is why I believe the Little Grebe moved due to being disturbed by it and as I lost site of the otter I noticed the grebe coming straight towards me which is why I was hoping to get a head on shot as it came towards me. As I reviewed the images I was very happy with what I'd caught. 6. I'm currently shooting with a Canon R5 and a sigma 150-600 lens and with the eye autofocus and tracking of the r5 the camera locked onto the bird and was able to keep it in focus as I used a fast shutter speed to freeze the action. 7.
