Villagers today prepare their scarecrows ahead of The Owslebury Scarecrow Trail this weekend, which offers entertainment for all the family this summer half term. Residents have created a trail of 40 scarecrows set around the picturesque hilltop village of Owlebury near Winchester, Hants starting tomorrow and running up until Sunday 4th June. The straw characters depict favourite children’s TV programmes through the decades and adorn the main roads in Owslebury and the Glebe Field beside the church. The creations include popular current programmes together with favourites going back to the 1960s.
