The 46 year old said “It takes an average of 40 days for the workers to create a hand-woven carpet of up to 6 square meters from start to finish. For this they get paid only £18.58 per rug.” “In Usak the carpet threads are root dyed and they have been using this method for centuries, usually made by women and they still use the traditional methods on looms.
